Keepers of the Ten Commandments

Keepers of the Ten Commandments: Past and present

Contrary to what most preachers say about keeping the law or God’s commandments, there are normal people like you and I that have kept and are keeping the Ten Commandments today. It takes people that will give themselves wholly to the Lord with a made-up mind to obey and do what God has commanded us.

You can find these people from Genesis to Revelations, in History books Encyclopedias and other places. For example, during the time of the Crusades the Spanish Inquisition, many of the Israelite's that were true to God were abused, murdered and tortured because they were keepers of God’s law the Ten Commandments,

Even today the scripture lets us know God never left himself without a witness. (Acts-14, 17) As long as this earth is standing God will have someone that will stand for the truth and keep his law.

Let me start by saying I am one of them that keep the law and stand for the truth. There are certain Grace teachers who have told their congregations and the world via the TV and internet that no man today is keeping the Ten Commandments. Well, I will declare those words untrue, and much of what they are teaching on the Law and Grace is a carnal vision void of God's understanding.

Based on what they are teaching about the law and grace lets me know these preachers have little or no knowledge about God’s Law. They are confusing the animal sacrificial law with the Royal Law the Ten Commandments. The animal sacrificial law was satisfied or fulfilled at the death of Jesus and no longer exist.

Daniels: 9-26,27 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolation are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations, he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Notice in v-27 it says he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, let’s stop here; confirming the covenant for one week has a two-fold meaning. A prophetic week = 7 weeks of years, and a literal week 7 days.

In the literal week, the sacrifice and the oblation would stop at his death. The animal sacrifice and oblations were over, along with the Levitical priesthood. This is the law that was nailed to the tree; it was our schoolmaster until Jesus was to come.

Matthew 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; there was no more Holy of Holies for the High Priest to sacrifice and make an atonement with the proper animal for himself and for the people, thus no need for the Levitical priesthood. When Jesus rose from the grave he became our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek

(Heb: 6, 17-20)

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

There was nothing wrong with the first covenant, it was the people that didn’t fear God and had no faith in his word to obey it. (Heb-8, 6-10) scripture says the law is perfect converting the soul. What can you do to better something that is perfect: nothing (Ps 19-7?)

In the book of (1Jn-5, 1-3) verse 3 for this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. The Commandments are not burdensome or difficult; it's man’s heart that’s deceitful and wickedly influenced by Satan to turn the heart of man from hearing the law. Prov-29, 9

The Lord said in (Is: 1, 16-20) cease to do evil, learn to do well. Come now and let us reason together. Every preacher, minister, believer of Christ that is a steward of the mysteries of God is required to be faithful. (1Corith.4-1, 2)

Now let me give you some word concerning the law.

It maybe you didn’t know that Christ was the God of the Old Testament however, he made it known loud and clear who he was and how he was tempted by Israel in the wilderness. (1Cor10, 1-9, Lk4, 33-34, Ps78, 39-41).

Christ who was God in the Old Testament was the first one to speak the Ten Commandments to Israel on Mt Sinai. (Ex 20-1). Then he gave them to Moses on two tables of stone written with his own fingers. (Ex 31-18). In the book of (Heb: 13-8) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

God was so adamant about the commandments he had Moses come upon the Mt. Sinai a second time to write the commandments again. God will not do away with his commandments because carnal men don’t want to obey them? God forbid. Ex:34,1-2 27,28 In Ps;111: 7-9 v-7 all his commandments are sure, v-8 they stand fast forever, v-9 he hath commanded his covenant forever.

Rom.7-12: Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandments holy, and good. Jesus is the only Holy One of Israel, and if we have any holiness it’s because we live our lives in obedience through him. Lk4-33, 34: Ps78-39, 41 Rom: 6-4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the Glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life.

v-9-13 v-9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

v-12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

When we got baptized we became bound to the new covenant as Israel became bound to the old covenant which was the law by blood. Ex.24, 1-8. Jesus said: this is the New Testament in my blood, 1Cor11, 23-26, and just as Israel said all that the Lord hath said we will do and obey,

the same applied to us when we went down into the water and came up in agreement with the Lord who sealed the New Covenant with his blood, it became binding to all that except Jesus as Lord and Savior. You must obey his law and keep his commandments.

1Corth:6-17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

God said to keep my commandments and do them from Genesis to Revelation, but some minister’s say to their congregation you can’t keep them, who are you going to believe man or God. Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Paul said in (Ga2, 19-20) for through the law or because of the law the Ten Commandments, I am dead to the law of sin and death, that I might live unto God. Being crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live, yet not I but Christ lives in me, now I’m living the law through Christ and the life I live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.

God said in (1Jn 3-4) sin is the transgression of the law, what law? The Ten Commandments. It is apparent that many of these pastors that teach against the law don’t know the Bible definition of sin. If you are not keeping the law you are living in sin. How can I say that?

Well if you are not keeping the law God's Ten Commandments you are living by your carnal mind which is against God and not subject to his law therefore, you are in sin. The law doesn't justify you it reveal your sin for you to repent and get right. (Rom 3-20). It is also spiritual and you can’t do away with it. (Rom 7-14)

1Jn:2,3-4
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

The Ten Commandments are the standard for mankind to live by, if they expect to have right to the tree of life, and enter in through the gates into the city. (Rev 22-14).

All of Gods Apostles were keepers of the law. Notice, while they were in the upper room waiting for the Holy Ghost to come they were praying and talking to God, and when the Holy Ghost came it lit upon all of them and they began to speak with other toungs as the Spirit gave them utterance speaking the wonderful works of God in other languages. Most of them died as martyrs and keepers of the law, God's Ten Commandments.

Notice (Ps 119-165) Great peace have they that love thy law and nothing shall offend them.To all the Grace preachers who teach against the law, God has explicitly expressed himself concerning you exposing the very platform you teach from, your carnal mind which is influenced, driven, and controled by the devil who is against God.(Rom 8, 6-8: 2 Cor 11, 14-15).

Now I will show you many people in the Bible that kept the law, again disputing the statement made by many Grace Teachers that no man today or yesterday has kept the Ten Commandments except Jesus, and these preachers are telling people today via TV and internet that they don’t have to keep them today, what a tragedy.
